By accessing and using Book Dentist ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Book Dentist is an online platform that connects patients with dental clinics in Sri Lanka. We facilitate appointment booking, provide clinic information, and enable communication between patients and dental service providers. We are not a dental service provider ourselves.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

To use certain features of our Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and identification
  • Accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason we deem necessary.

4. Appointment Booking

4.1 Booking Process

When you book an appointment through our platform:

  • You are entering into a direct agreement with the dental clinic, not with Book Dentist
  • All appointments are subject to availability and confirmation by the clinic
  • We act solely as an intermediary between you and the clinic
  • Payment is processed securely through third-party payment processors

4.2 Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling policies are set by individual clinics. Please refer to the clinic's specific policies or contact them directly. Book Dentist is not responsible for clinic cancellation policies or refunds.

5. Payment Terms

Payment for appointments is processed through secure third-party payment gateways. By making a payment, you agree to:

  • Provide valid payment information
  • Authorize the payment for the amount specified
  • Understand that all payments are final unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy
  • Accept that Book Dentist is not responsible for payment disputes between you and the clinic

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Transmit any viruses, worms, or malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity

7. Intellectual Property

All content on Book Dentist, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Book Dentist or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Book Dentist acts as an intermediary platform. We are not responsible for:

  • The quality of dental services provided by clinics
  • Any disputes between you and dental clinics
  • Clinic cancellations, rescheduling, or service issues
  • Any damages resulting from the use or inability to use our Service
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of our Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components
  • The information provided is accurate, complete, or current

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Book Dentist, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Third-Party Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services are solely between you and the third party.

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
